Prof. Barbara Fredrickson on maailman johtavia emootiotutkijoita ja positiivisen psykologian lähestymissuunnan perustajia. Prof. Fredricksonin inhimillistä kukoistusta koskevat läpimurtotutkimukset ovat tuoneet hänelle lukuisia tunnustuksia, mm. vuonna 2000 Amerikan psykologisen yhdistyksen palkinnon positiivisessa psykologiassa. Hän on julkaissut tutkimuksiaan arvostetuimmissa alan aikakauslehdissä. Viime vuonna ilmestyi kirja Positivity, joka on suurelle yleisölle suunnattu kokonaiskatsaus prof. Fredricksonin tuloksiin ja positiivisuuden tieteeseen.

Prof. Barbara Fredrickson is a leading scholar within positive psychology and affective science. Her research centers on positive emotions and human flourishing. Her groundbreaking work has been recognized with numerous honors, including, the 2000 American Psychological Association's Templeton Prize in Positive Psychology. Prof. Fredrickson's widely acclaimed book Positivity is an accessible written synthesis of her own research and the science of the positive.
